    Nick Giglio, P.E., President

I’m Nick Giglio, PE, and I spend my days working as a Construction Engineer for Urban Engineers. I’ve been involved in ASCE since 2016, when I joined as a student member at Penn State Harrisburg. I spent some time on the section board before graduating in 2019, and then I immediately jumped into attending events with the Lehigh Valley Section. I soon become vice-president and then president of our Younger Members Forum, and most recently, I took on the President-Elect position for the section, which then led me to the President position today.

    Bio
  • Lane Wilder, P.E., Past President

I’m a Swarthmore (go Earthworms, go Warmothers!) and Lehigh (go Brown and White!) grad. I spent a decade working as a grant proposal writer and another being an at-home/PTA mom before finding my home as a structural engineer. For the past ten years, I’ve been designing building structures at D’Huy Engineering, now a CHA company, learning as much as I can from the tremendously knowledgeable folks around and above me, and offering technical guidance and pep talks to the new engineers coming after me. I’ve served on SEI-LV since 2016 and the LVASCE Board of Directors since 2019. Outside of engineering, I serve on the Board of Directors at New Bethany, and I play trumpet in the Big Easy Easton Brass. My husband and I live in Bethlehem. We have two grown kids and, of course, our trusty(ish) dog.

  • Chas Snyder, P.E., Treasurer

If you’ve ever attended an in-person LVASCE event, you’ve no doubt been greeted at the registration table by Chas Snyder, P.E., our Treasure(r). Chas keeps our books in order and handles all the financials for the dozens of activities and events we sponsor each year. When things hum along quietly, as they usually do, we have him to thank. In 2014, Chas was named the LVASCE Civil Engineer of the Year. A graduate of Lafayette College, he has served as an officer for Lafayette Alumni of the Lehigh Valley for over 40 years. Chas currently serves as committee chair for the 50th Reunion of the Wilson Area High School Class of 1974. He has recently retired from his position as Laboratory Manager at Pennoni Associates. Best wishes on your retirement, Chas, and we will strive to keep you occupied!
