  • Remington & Vernik Engineers (RVE) is currently seeking a Civil/Site Engineer, a position with 0-3 years of experience working under the supervision of a Senior Engineering Technician or Project Manager. This individual will assist with engineering and design during all phases of projects primarily located in and around the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania. This opportunity focuses on Land Development design and permitting, but also exposes the successful candidate to related fields including Environmental studies, Water/Wastewater design, and Municipal Engineering.

    Duties include:

    • Work with senior staff to provide engineering design assistance for a variety of land development projects including mixed-use, residential, commercial, healthcare, industrial, recreational, public infrastructure, and educational facilities.

    • Develop expertise with all phases of site design including site grading, utility design, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, stormwater management, erosion and sedimentation control, and related engineering effort required for land development applications.

    • Research code requirements for incorporation into designs.

    • Prepare plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

    • Prepare permit applications as required by local and state regulatory authorities.

    • Develop cost estimates.

    • Construction observation and related site visits.

  • Remington & Vernik Engineers (RVE) is currently seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer, a position with minimum 8 years of experience. This individual will plan, design and perform analysis on water/wastewater engineering projects such as pipelines; pumping stations; and treatment facilities. Engineer shall be self-motivated, capable of acting as firm’s representative to clients, and providing support to branch offices in NJ/PA/DE/MD area.

    Duties include:

    • Hydraulic calculations and layout of structures.

    • Producing correspondence/reports/biddable documents for arsenic, radium and iron removal water plants; wells; water storage tanks; pumping stations; piping systems; and wastewater treatment plant improvements.

    • Engineering support to our inspection department.

    • Act as firm’s representative to Townships; utility authorities; and private utility companies.

    • Draft concise proposals for new work.

    • Capable of addressing multiple simultaneous assignments, on-time and within budgets.

    • "Proactive"' identification of problems/issues coupled with detailed analysis and effective resolution.

    • Producing all deliverables associated with this position.

    • Capable of addressing multiple simultaneous assignments, on-time and within budgets.

    • Regulatory permitting. 

    • Assist with energy audits.

  • Remington & Vernik Engineers (RVE) is currently seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer, a position with 10-15 years of experience. This individual will design and/or manage a variety of infrastructure projects (owned by municipalities and local school districts) and will report directly to the principal. Such projects shall include roads, underground utilities, public buildings, recreational facilities, and land use applications submitted by private developers. This candidate will work in the Allentown, PA and it surrounding areas.

    Duties include:

    • Responsible to act as the client manager to one or more municipalities or other public agencies.  The client manager will act as the single point of contact between the firm and the client. He/she will supervise and coordinate all projects performed in the firm on behalf of the client, to the client’s satisfaction.

    • Develop or implement engineering solutions to assist clients with improving and maintaining their infrastructure.

      • Design transportation, utility, facility, or hydraulic systems or structures (as appropriate) using computer assisted design or drawing tools.

      • Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, or material stress factors to determine design specifications.

      • Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.

      • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, or other topographical or geologic data.

      • Conduct studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess potential project impact.

      • Perform all design activities ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, or other governmental regulations.

      • Identify environmental risks and develop risk management strategies for projects.

    • Attending regularly scheduled public meetings (conducted by Municipal clients) in the capacity of Municipal Engineer, or Land Use Board Engineer. Prepare and present public reports on topics such as bid proposals, project status reports and developmental review projects.

    • Provide technical advice to clients regarding design, construction, or capital program modifications.

    • Support of the field activities of our construction inspection staff, including providing timely data, shop drawing review, and client coordination.

  • Remington & Vernik Engineers (RVE) is currently seeking a Early Career Graduates, a position with 1-2 years of experience. This individual will provide engineering services on all phases of an assigned project under the supervision of the Regional Manager, or Project Manager. This position is available in both Allentown, PA and Cherry Hill, NJ offices.

    Duties include:

    • Design and prepare plans for site development, roadway, utility, stormwater, and other civil infrastructure projects

    • Perform site grading, drainage, and erosion control design in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

    • Conduct technical analyses, calculations, and cost estimates

    • Prepare and submit permit applications and coordinate with regulatory agencies

    • Collaborate with project managers, architects, surveyors, and other engineers to ensure project objectives and deadlines are met

    • Review construction plans and specifications for accuracy and adherence to project goals

    • Provide support during construction, including responding to RFIs, submittal reviews, and field inspections

    • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and best practices
