Dr. Kushal Adhikari is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at Alvernia University. Before joining Alvernia, he played a leading role in developing Civil and Environmental Engineering programs at Juniata College, contributing to curriculum design, course development, laboratory expansion, and accreditation preparation.
His research focuses on sustainable cement and construction materials, wastewater treatment and reuse, and green stormwater management. He has published in peer-reviewed journals, presented his work nationally and internationally, and contributed to interdisciplinary sustainability research. His teaching emphasizes hands-on, practical learning, while his research seeks to integrate sustainability into engineering practice and support resilient communities.
Dr. Adhikari is actively involved in editorial service, peer review, and professional leadership. He is an active member of the EWRI Student and Education Council and will be joining the Board as a Director of both the ASCE Lehigh Valley Section and the Reading Branch. He is committed to connecting academic research, student engagement, industry collaboration, and community needs. He lives in Wyomissing, PA, with his wife and their two daughters.
